Jon Jones overwhelms Ciryl Gane at UFC 285 to claim heavyweight title

Jon Jones danced and hugged. Fittingly, following his post-fight interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan, he bleated like a goat.

Jones early Sunday morning submitted Ciryl Gane in stunning fashion three minutes into their showdown in Las Vegas for the vacant UFC heavyweight title, forcing Gane to tap via guillotine choke at 2:04 of the first round.

Jones, widely considered the greatest of all time (GOAT) before this fight, made his return to the octagon at age 35 following a three-year hiatus from the sport with a step up to the heavyweight division. With his victory, he becomes the eighth fighter to win undisputed titles in two weight classes after a dominant run as light heavyweight champion that lasted more than a decade.
