Here’s what else to know:
- Two people were killed and one injured in a shooting attack Friday that was being investigated as a suspected terrorist attack, Israeli defense and ambulance officials said. The shooting took place near the Hamra Junction in the occupied West Bank.
- On Thursday, 34 rockets from Lebanon targeted northern Israel, most of which were intercepted by Israel’s aerial defense system, according to the IDF. It said early Friday that 44 rockets had been launched from Gaza overnight, most of which were also intercepted.
- The Gaza strikes targeted what Israel said were arms manufacturing sites belonging to Hamas, the Islamist militant group which is in control there.
