Gaza’s crowded and resource-depleted hospitals continued to face bombardment overnight Friday, after the International Committee of the Red Cross warned that the territory’s medical system had reached a “point of no return.” Doctors Without Borders said that “attacks against al-Shifa Hospital have dramatically intensified” and they cannot reach staff inside the facility, which is Gaza’s largest hospital and has been sheltering thousands of refugees. The Palestine Red Crescent Society warned that al-Quds Hospital had only a few hours of power left, putting ICU patients and babies in incubators in jeopardy. The Israel Defense Forces said Friday that they had surrounded and demanded evacuations at several hospitals, which they say Hamas uses as hubs for supplies and fuel.
