Incident unfolded as Hogan observed a vehicle swerving across lanes in an attempt to catch a missed exit
In a real-life display of heroism echoing his wrestling prowess, WWE legend Hulk Hogan, alongside his wife Sky Daily and a friend identified as Jake, a US marine, sprang into action to rescue a teenager following a terrifying car crash on a Clearwater, Florida highway, The US Sun reported.
The incident unfolded as Hogan’s group observed a vehicle swerving across lanes in an attempt to catch a missed exit, resulting in a collision with another car that flipped over. Hogan, renowned for his wrestling persona, immediately pulled over, and with Jake’s assistance, rushed to aid the 17-year-old driver left “completely rattled.”
Deploying tools at hand, the marine punctured the airbag, and Hogan, wearing his signature New World Order (nWo) T-shirt, played a pivotal role in extricating the young driver from the overturned vehicle. The duo swiftly unbuckled her seatbelt, ensuring her safety until paramedics arrived.
The unnamed teen, visibly shaken but seemingly unharmed, expressed gratitude, with Hogan, now 70, humbly stating he was “happy to help.” The legendary wrestler’s heroic act showcased a real-world embodiment of the persona that propelled him to global fame during the ’80s and ’90s, solidifying his status as a 12-time world champion and a central figure in launching “Hulkamania.”
Notably, Hogan’s influence extended into the late ’90s and early 2000s with WCW, where he, alongside Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, formed the infamous New World Order heel faction. Despite portraying villains, the trio’s charisma earned them fan adoration, culminating in a Hall of Fame induction for all three nWo members.
