The Republican Presidental candidate for 2024 and Governor Florida Governor Ron DeSantis suffered an accident with his team in Tennessee Tuesday, according to his spokesperson, but they all were not injured.
“This morning, the governor was in a car accident while traveling to an event in Chattanooga, Tennessee,” the spokesperson, Bryan Griffin, said in a statement. “He and his team are uninjured.”
However, the Florida governor and his team were expected to hold three fundraisers across the state this morning and into the evening prior to the accident.
DeSantis has been campaigning rigorously after making tweaks and changes with campaigners luring donors through a campaign reset, according to Fox News.
The fundraising event in Tennessee, where he was headed Tuesday, was an addition to Ron DeSantis’ multiple fundraising events in the state throughout July.
In an attempt to enhance the campaign net, DeSantis participated in the Tennessee GOP Statesman Dinner last week.
DailyMail reported that DeSantis will be going to southern states this week before going to Iowa to move ahead with his “Never Back Down” bus tour throughout the early voting state.
The 44-year-old will begin his bus trip in Iowa before moving on to South Carolina, New Hampshire, and other states.
Additionally, DeSantis is scheduled to speak at the Iowa Republican Lincoln Day Dinner Friday in Des Moines.
