Cristiano Ronaldo’s team manager and former football player Luís Castro has been advised by healthcare experts to not engage in any physical activities amid a minor medical procedure, Al Nassr said in a statement Thursday.

Taking to X, former Twitter, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr team wrote: “Coach of the first team Mr Luis Castro was advised by the doctor to refrain from physical activity for a few days following a minor medical procedure.”

The absence of the 62-year-old manager comes at a time when the club is ready to face Al Feiha Friday at the Al-Awwal Park stadium, in Riyadh.

The statement, in which his picture is also released, read: “Mr Vitor Severino, the first assistant coach, will be in charge of the team until Mr Castro comes back. Get well soon Mister.”

What happened to Cristiano Ronaldos team manager?

The Portuguese manager took control of the Saudi Club in July 2023, after the star Ronaldo joined the team in January the same year.

He replaced Rudi Garcia, who was sacked by the Saudi club due to their frustrating finish in the 2022-23 league campaign.

Castro oversaw 48 football matches in which 36 were won and six others were lost. With his success record as a skilled manager, Al Nassr are eyeing hoping secure more major titles in 2024.
