WATCH: Shaheen’s magical deliveries to dismiss Rohit, Kohli

Pakistan and India squared off against each other in the third match of 2023 Asia Cup in Pallekele Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Opted to bat first, India landed with their openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. However, Pakistan left-arm pacer produced a stunning display of bowling against India batters.

Shaheen’s magical spell began by dismissing Rohit Sharma at 11 runs by knocking his bails off with a beautiful inswinger at 4.6 overs.

Determined to turn the tide in his team’s favor, Shaheen struck again, removing Virat Kohli at a crucial juncture. Kohli was dismissed only at four runs at 6.3 overs when the ball took the thick inside edge onto the pad and then onto the leg stump.

Shaheen showcased excellent bowling mastery as sent two of India’s key batters, including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli back to the pavilion. Formers Indian and Pakistan cricketer-turned-commentators were also in awe of Shaheen’s spell and expressed their excitement on X (formerly known as Twitter)
