This comes a day after Stonehenge, a prehistoric megalithic structure located in UK, was covered in orange powder paint in an act of vandalism by two Just Stop Oil campaigners. The protestors also included Indian-origin Rajan Naidu.
In a video posted on X by Just Stop Oil, the activists can be seen cutting through the fence of the airport and painting the jet orange.
“Jennifer and Cole cut the fence into the private airfield at Stansted where @taylorswift13’s jet is parked, demanding an emergency treaty to end fossil fuels by 2030,” the post reads.
Essex police reported the arrest of two women in a restricted area of London Stansted Airport on suspicion of criminal damage and interference with national infrastructure.
Just Stop Oil claimed that Taylor Swift’s jet was parked at the airfield, but Essex police clarified that the pop star’s aircraft was not present at the airport. Swift is scheduled to perform three shows at London’s Wembley Stadium from Friday to Sunday.
