The left-arm pacer, Shaheen Afridi, might skip the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in July.
According to a media report, the 23-year-old can be rested to manage his workload, particularly ahead of ODI World Cup due later this year.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will soon announce the schedule of the Test series, which also is a part of the ICC World Test Championship.
Shaheen is presently playing for Nottinghamshire in England’s T20 Blast, where he has successfully secured 13 wickets across nine matches.
Arthur recently took to Twitter to address the concerns regardomg Afridi’s workload.
Arthur suggested that Afridi needed to increase his workload in order to prepare for Test cricket, indicating that the team management was actively monitoring his progress.
